KEEPING FURNISHINGS FRESH

Fiber-Seal, the nation’s premier source for fabric care, has you covered

by STACEY MARCUS

It’s no secret that life can get messy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t outfit your home with fabulous fabrics and furnishings that make your heart sing. Tidy queen Marie Kondo likes to say that “everyone needs a sanctuary.” What better way to create peace and tranquility than with a home that sparkles with spruceness?

Fiber-Seal has been the one-stop resource for fabric and furniture care for more than 50 years. Founded in 1971, the company was a pioneer in the field of fabric care, launching a revolutionary product that could be applied to fabrics, carpeting and rugs to repel liquids and soils, keeping fibers cleaner longer. Better yet, the Fiber-Seal Fabric Care System includes expert assistance for difficult stains—and it’s included at no additional charge. The company’s personalized services allow you to relax and know you’re covered.

Headquartered in Dallas, Fiber-Seal has more than 90 offices throughout the country. Owners Lisa and Jeff Mattich bring the perfect blend of skills to the business. He is a CPA and served as CFO of several companies, one being Fiber-Seal. “Jeff always loved Fiber-Seal,” says Lisa Mattich, who was previously involved in fitness management, marketing and sales for several properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The pair parlayed their skills to run Fiber-Seal with a focus on exceptional customer service.

Candace Salazar, a senior designer at Jessica McIntyre Interiors in Fort Worth, started working with Fiber-Seal seven years ago when she was with a design firm in the Dallas area. She recommends that her clients connect with Fiber-Seal after an installation. “It’s an extra layer of insurance,” she says, adding that because many of her clients invest extensive time and money to outfit their homes with custom fabrics and furnishings, she advises them to engage the Fiber-Seal team to protect their investment so they can relax and enjoy life. “Today everyone, including pets and kids, is welcome in every room,” says Salazar. “Fiber-Seal is so affordable, and their customer service is exceptional.” With two small children of her own, she knows the value Fiber-Seal brings to everyday life.

Mattich says that after designers complete an installation, they call Fiber-Seal to treat wall-to-wall carpeting, rugs, upholstered furniture, outdoor furnishings, wallcoverings and draperies. Along with adding an extra layer of protection and spot cleaning, clients are given step-by-step instructions on how to care for their fabrics. She proudly reports that Fiber-Seal’s technicians provide an elevated level of service, and most clients choose to renew the service annually.

The Fiber-Seal team is very involved in the Dallas design community through sponsorships of organizations such as the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Interior Design Society (IDS). Mattich notes that 95% of the company’s clients come from referrals. She regularly meets clients and designers to learn about trends and preferences. Although the company closed operations for six weeks during the pandemic, it reopened quickly and was full force ahead. “We didn’t miss a beat,” Mattich says. She happily reports that the business continues to rapidly grow.

Fiber-Seal is the one-stop resource for virtually all of your fabric care needs. You can feel confident about outfitting your home with light-colored furnishings as they will be protected in the long run.
