MAKING YOUR FLOOR A MASTERPIECE

Interior Resources provides rugs and carpets to the trade

The second generation owners of Interior Resources, Evan Green and Paige Sowden, work to make the floor beneath your feet a masterpiece through the beautiful rugs and carpets they offer. Since 1975, Interior Resources has supplied the design trade with quality rugs and carpets for homes and commercial buildings within the Dallas area.

The creative brother and sister duo understand the importance of having nothing but the best designs on the floors of your home, rather than just focusing on the things that lie above them. With decades of experience, Sowden, Green and their talented staff have transformed dozens of homes and buildings across the Dallas- Fort Worth metroplex with the help of their designer-based clientele.

Interior Resources’ showroom is undoubtedly the place to be when searching for the perfect fit for your flooring needs. With carpet and rug lines from 300- plus companies displayed in the showroom, there is truly a rug and carpet on hand for every discerning taste. However, if you are unable to find exactly what you are looking for, Interior Resources can capture your vision in a custom-made piece with its in-house art department and direct manufacturing connections.

Each year, Interior Resources completes numerous personalized projects, both in the United States and abroad. Through a process of matching fabrics, choosing colors, creating a digital design and making a sample for approval, each rug receives extensive time and care to ensure its uniqueness and beauty. The final product is handmade luxury.

“Each tiny detail builds a piece of the rug puzzle and creates a one-of-a-kind masterpiece when it’s installed,” Sowden explains.

In addition to its showroom and custom work, Interior Resources also takes pride in its quality installation team, which installs carpets and delivers rugs to homes across the nation. Green and Sowden have a long history with the rug and carpet business. Their parents, Merikay and Jack Green, developed Interior Resources before them. “Our family dinners out would have all of us looking at the floor and discussing what type of carpet was installed,” Sowden says, laughing. The two spent their childhood helping out with their parents’ business, which they joyfully took over when their parents passed it down to them at retirement.

“We spent our summers running between the racks of samples, answering phones and ironing labels on samples,” she emphasizes. “From an early age, we were continually learning the business.”

Throughout the years of owning Interior Resources, Green and Sowden’s passion for what they do has only grown stronger. Sowden developed a particular passion for the custom aspect, which led to the creation of their exclusive rug line called The Black Label Collection. The Black Label Collection has had special recognition by Cover Magazine, a well-known rug industry publication. The inspiration for this collection comes from a variety of sources and they are constantly creating new and vivid designs to add to the mix. “Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to be aware of the opportunities that arise and recognize the beauty always around you,” Sowden marvels.

“Nothing warms our heart more than hearing positive feedback about our products, staff and business ethic,” she continues. “We appreciate hearing designers compliment our work and receiving their continued support due to our hard work.”

Green and Sowden additionally stress that they have been blessed with an amazing staff who have been essential to allowing them to reach the great success that they have achieved so far. Most of their team has been working with the company for over 20 years, creating a family atmosphere in the workplace.

From colleges to private school campuses to hotels across the country, the beautiful rugs and carpets of Interior Resources are cherished far and wide.
