Located in the Decorative Center of the Dallas Design District, McGannon Showrooms has 32,000 square feet of furniture, art, accessories and lighting in its showroom and warehouse ready for sale. McGannon’s offers plenty of sensory experience for clients, too, while they look to furnish their dream space. The smell of fresh-baked cookies pervades the showroom on a daily basis, engaging the olfactory senses, while there are plenty of pieces to visualize and touch all with the purpose of ensuring the proper fit for your environment.

One of the company’s specialties is custom special orders. “If you can imagine it, it can be done,” says Britt McGannon, chief operating officer. The design solutions are endless with a library of products, wood finishes and upholstery at your fingertips. “If you have a picture of a piece you like from a magazine, it can be crafted,” says McGannon.

The business was launched in 1980 by Sharon and Bill McGannon as a wholesale showroom in the Dallas World Trade Center, which sold custom orders to the design industry. Since 1984, McGannon Showrooms has been in the Design District. Britt McGannon took over management of the family business in 2013.

“We support lines that are bench-made because of their quality standards and craftsmanship,” says McGannon. Today, McGannon’s represent more than 60 lines of fine furniture and accessories, from Century, Sherrill, Chaddock, and Artifacts International to Christopher Guy, Swaim, and Kindel.

Starting at a moderate price point, McGannon Showrooms has merchandise to meet nearly any design budget, and styles range from transitional and traditional to mid-century modern, with an emphasis on contemporary design.

Contemporary in that the merchandise is on point with the style of the time and there are cutting-edge designs not yet seen elsewhere in Dallas. “We go to High Point Market in North Carolina twice a year. It’s fun to see all the energy and new designs. This is a place to get inspired,” says McGannon. High Point Furniture Market is like Fashion Week for the home fashion industry, where leaders in the industry are presenting their new collections and designs. McGannon also travels to other national markets and design centers—in Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and her favorite, New York, among others—to keep an overall view of upcoming styles, colors and trends.

Earlier this year McGannon’s remodeled its store to feature a new furniture collection designed by Thomas O’Brien, who is an icon in the design industry. McGannon describes this version of American modern as elegant and classic, creating an environment that calms and quiets the soul. “We’re the only showroom in Dallas that is showcasing the collection,” she says.

In addition to furniture, McGannon Showrooms offers a wide selection of decorative items such as art, chandeliers, lamps and pillows. “We are one of the few showrooms with accessories ready to go,” she says. New shipments of unique accessories arrive daily. “One of our greatest assets is our dynamic buyer and interior designer, Laure Pierron, who scours the markets to find the best product,” McGannon continues. “It feels like Christmas when we open our new arrivals. We were recently delighted to add a native Texan’s art, which uses organic materials from the Red Sea, semi-precious stones and driftwood embellished with gold leaf.”

The McGannon family believes in beauty and dreams and wants to share that gift with you. It’s not just about a sofa or bed; it’s about creating an environment that promotes a loving and harmonious experience for you. McGannon says: “Your surroundings and environment affect your life. You deserve the best.”

The McGannon’s team, the heartbeat of the organization, is here to make your life better. You will not find a more knowledgeable staff than at McGannon’s, where they will walk you through the creative process and bring you solutions to meet your design needs. McGannon Showrooms is more than you expect.
