In an age of big box retailers, The Jarrell Company continues to stand out as a premium supplier of luxury home appliances, plumbing and decorative hardware. With knowledge collected over decades as an industry leader, it is easy to see why they have been a Dallas institution for years.

Owners Eric Neel and Morris Wells have a combined experience of 40 years in the industry. This hard-earned education is something they put to use every day. Neel explains: “We pride ourselves on being experts. We have an extremely seasoned sales force, and as a result, we understand the products we sell. We can guide a client to their final decision with good and relevant information.”

This process has built trusting relationships with their clients. Ask what their formula for success is and Neel is quick to point out how simple it is: “We care! We care to do business in a manner in which our clients are our most valued asset. At the end of the day, we are real salespeople, here to give advice and help people make good decisions. It is our desire to build long-term relationships with our clients, something in our industry that has become a thing of the past. Our customers are clients, not transactions.”

This value system is also what sets the company apart from big box retailers. Neel and Wells have worked hard to make sure that each and every client is satisfied. “This goes well beyond price,” Neel points out. Knowing that their clients get the right part or appliance is extremely important to them.

This mindset extends to their team as well. Neel and Wells both believe that empowering their sales staff to make decisions to satisfy their customers keeps them one step ahead of retailers who lack this personal touch. While this may seem corny to those jaded by the typical retail experience, The Jarrell Company has proven time and time again that they truly care. Going the extra mile at The Jarrell Company is commonplace, and this is made evident by a Dallas clientele that spans several generations. Founded in 1964, The Jarrell Company built a reputation that became etched into the minds of the community it served. It was this reputation that first drew Neel and Wells to the store and was a major factor in their decision to purchase the company in 2014. “We were eager to continue what the Jarrell family started so many years ago,” Neel says. “We have always strived for perfection and will continue to do so.”

Along with their “client first” mentality comes an unparalleled array of products with brands that have long histories and reputations of their own, including Sub-Zero, Wolf, Asko, Dacor, Monogram, Bosch, DXV, Toto, Emtek, and Baldwin. “At the end of the day, our clients expect a certain level of products from us,” Neel says.

The store also offers full installation and training on all products. “Over the years, educating our clients on the workings of a product has changed,” says Neel. “There is now an ever-changing array of smart products. We are seeing more appliances with connectivity features so that they can be monitored or operated remotely.”

A sales force that provides personal service to every customer, a premium product and decades of experience—it all adds up to quality. This is one reason The Jarrell Company has been around for years and will continue to be around for many more.
